Comparing Espresso and Brewed Coffee
Espresso uses a finer version of grounds to make a potent coffee.
Brewed coffee uses medium grind beans to allow balanced flavors to come through.
For brewed coffee, the grinds are in contact with water for 4 minutes or longer.
For espresso, the water gets in contact with the coffee grounds for only about 20 to 30 seconds.
The flavor notes of espresso are more nuanced than brewed coffee.
