These 3 apps, in my opinion, are the best coffee apps because they’re useful and add value to coffeeholics such as you and me. Let’s take a look at each of them.

Up Coffee

Available for: iOS, free

Up Coffee is a fantastic app! As usual, Apple has a wide range of applications with features we can’t even imagine, and this app is no exception. This app is very effective at keeping track of how much caffeine you consume on a daily basis.

Though many of us require caffeine on a daily basis to provide the energy we need to complete our tasks either at home or at work, too much of it is harmful to our bodies.

Because of the negative effects of excessive caffeine consumption, Jawbone, the develoer behind Up Coffee, launched this app to measure the amount of caffeine you’ve consumed and the effects it can have on your health.

If you want an in-depth read on the adverse effects of coffee, you can read my post right here.

The application will initially ask you for some personal information as well as your coffee consumption habits. Then, you may choose to increase or decrease the amount of caffeine that you consume daily.

And to help you out more, they have a list of the most common sweets, drinks, supplements, and foods that contain caffeine.

The app’s main screen features a stomach with brown dots that represents the caffeine in your system. These dots will move to simulate the jitteriness they cause your body.

The more brown dots there are on the screen, the faster they will move. However, when you eat or drink something that doesn’t have caffeine, the dots start to disappear.

Features and perks

  • Aids in tracking your caffeine intake
  • Links your caffeine consumption with the amount of time you sleep

Beanhunter

Available for: iOS, free

The Beanhunter app is not intended to teach you how to make a good cup of coffee. However, if you prefer to drink coffee in cafes, coffee shops, or restaurants, this app will help you find the best coffee shops near you no matter where you are.

Not only that but you will also be shown other users’ reviews of the locations, saving you time and making your decision easier. You can also add your favorite places and the corresponding reviews so that others like you can find more options.
